You read the title right, I have COVID.
Me and my family are actually laughing our butts off because last year, COVID hit me the same way, and, get this, I got it on the fourth day of school two years in a row now!
Anyways, COVID is really affecting my Blood Sugar, meaning I’m at 70 for one hour, then at 350 for the next four, and no amount of corrections can change that.
I also can’t do any physical activity, because, well, I’m isolating myself because my dad also has diabetes, meaning I can pretty much only leave my room to use the restroom, shower, or the rare occasion of going outside for a few minutes.
There are a few changes between this year and last year. Last year, I had every horrible symptom- High fever, extreme cough, congestion, runny nose, headache, extreme fatigue. This year, I had a gentler cough, low grade fever, congestion, runny nose, and a massive headache.
I’m panicking because while I only tested positive the other day, I have a lot of assignments I have to do, and I also need to pick up my school laptop. I have a huge test on Wednesday, and I am very worried about that. And yes, it is this early in the year. It’s one of those tests that helps the teachers to understand where the students in the classes are for the subject, and what they need to work on teaching them.
And honestly, pretty much the only things I can eat right now are bread, a little bit of chicken, and rice. That’s it. Pretty much all my body can handle with our needing to vomit.
Watch out for the symptoms listed, check your ketones, stay hydrated, if needed, little TINY sips of juice at a time so it doesn’t overwhelm your system.
COVID Symptoms:

- new loss of taste or smell.
